This wiped me out of the tournament. I got knocked out in 75th place out of 329. 19 places paid, 2k in tournament tickets. I was doing pretty good up until this hand. The worst part about it is, I don't know, there's a lot of worst parts about it. Maybe I shouldn't have been playing T8s, probably not, but I was SB and everyone else folded. I raised pretty much hoping to take the blinds, or see a flop I liked. I flopped top pair, and I knew I had him beat. I made a good bet, that said I got u beat, but he was too retarded to let a pocket pair go. I had him beat pre flop 51 to 48 percent, 1 percent chance to tie. That's not that good, but after the flop 91 to 9. After the turn 95 to 5 percent. A one in 22 chance, and he hit it. He called with under cards to the board, and sucked out. The worst part about it, I think, is I would have had more respect for AK, AQ, AJ, AT, A9, KQ, KJ, KT, K9, QJ, QT, Q9, JT, J9 or T9, cause at least they were overs to the board, and had more than 2 fucking outs.

There is nothing worse than watching a donkey hit their 1 or 2 outer to knock you out.

Sorry but I don't see it the way you do

You seem to skip some rather important details in your synopsis

You're not exactly short stacked as you have 3.6k and the blinds are only 150, - BUT the BB has 26k!!

You say you 'raised pretty much hoping to take the blinds' - with a min! raise into that stack! that was NEVER going to work, then when he tells you that he's not buying it and may well have a good hand by re-raising you ANOTHER 5 BB's, you call! Why? with T8? what did you think you would beat?

So post flop you make a valiant stab at representing a good hand but if you are going to bet 1200 then call 1500 when he re-raises you really should have pushed. I don't blame him for thinking you probably didn't hit the flop with a hand you raised with, more likely you are C betting AK

The point is that although you are showing strength, that is a pretty good flop for him and with his stack he can put you to the test for ALL your chips

You make a good call though and you are ahead, BUT it is not a two outer, he has straight possibilities too
sure it is a thin draw by the turn, but ALL your chips went in on the flop

I wouldn't have been in that hand

Don't try to steal the big-stack's blinds. He can afford to defend with a pair, you can't afford to get drawn into putting all your chips on the line with a marginal hand

On top of all that, I don't think this is in any way a bad beat.
With his stack and that hand he had to defend and the slim chance he caught at the end is all part of the 49% he held pre flop. Winning hands lose all the time, it is part of the game and you will go nuts if you take it hard every time.

If you play garbage cards, even if attempting a steal, you cannot complain if you lose.

Today, knocked out in 8th place out of 652. AA vs QQ. I raise, he reraises all in, I call, flops a Q.

being beaten when the other one only has two outers is something I hate, specially when playing in cash games. But is is poker u know, not much to do about it.
what is more, big stacks play in an agressive way, and they sometimes get lucky like in this hand.
