| This by far the most valuable advice, i got it from my mentor. Punish these limpers, they call pre flop and simply say: my hand is not strong enough ! RAISE ! Or PUSH ! Take all the dead money ! (If someone calls surprisingly, you have at least 40 % or more in the most cases) | |

| The best advice in my opinion is to use proper bankroll management. | |

| I never limp with small PP or anything I think I might have a chance at winning.I will raise with 2/2 Now if i get raised back I look at position and the the person playing and know if i will need to call or fold..I'm not above folding if I think i'm losing | |

| If there is alot of limping going on, I like to shove all in and steal the pot. Be careful though because some of the players might limp with a big hand hoping for someone to try and steal the pot and trap you. You don't want to do it with a bad hand either if there are calling stations at the table. | |

(If someone calls surprisingly, you have at least 40 % or more in the most cases) I tend to agree on this point... there are TIMES when you have to be careful, some good players will occasionally switch up thier style and limp with a strong hand just to throw people off thier game-plan... I like to do that sometimes, especially when I have been showing a particular style for a while, but then under most circumstances I don't limp. I either bet for fold... my attitude has always been that if I don't have a strong enough hand to bet on, I should FOLD IT! I look down the line, past the flop and the turn and think to myself... if I get in a situation with this hand am I going to feel confident going all-in if it comes to it... if the answer is NO then I figure I shouldn't be playing it. That said, sometimes you just want to play a hand... but even so, I think it is better show strength even if your hand doesnt have it than to encourage someone else to do it.. plus, and perhaps more importantly, limping rarely if EVER gives you a decent read on your opponents and that information is PRICELESS... it will show you whether you can bluff, bully, or otherwise win with a marginal hand. After all, poker is NOT just about the cards you are dealt but about the cards your oppornents may THINK you were dealt!! LOL | |
