| Oh this is a tale of my sorrow A pitiful story of woe I'll be laughing about it tomorrow You will laugh as you read it I know
I was playing a cash game on Action I was doing quite well as it goes A table of canadian donkeys I'm sure we've all had one of those
I'd been playing for a couple of hours I was up about forty six bucks I was winning with skill and sheer power Not to mention a fair slice of luck
When I looked at my hole cards I wondered an ace and a 10, different suits So many times with that, I've blundered But they looked good and I thought YOU BEAUTS..
I raised from a middle position The button he called in a flash The pot looked a nice proposition As two more then added their cash
The flop was like mana from heaven A King, a queen and a jack A player calling himself Lcukyseven whammed his chips in, he didnt hold back
Every damn chip he unloaded Then the next player threw his in too YOU DONKEYS I almost exploded I HAVE GOT YOU ( if only I knew )
WIthout waiting an instant I hit the all in In went the whole of my stack One he turned over a King and a queen And the other, he had pocket jacks
The pot all three hundred dollars was surely now coming my way Avoid any Jack, a queen or a king And I would retire for the day
The turn it came over a rag card No flush draws so still I was fine Just please avoid any picure card And all of that pot would be miine
The wait for the river took ages I was yellng, my language obscene No KING NO QUEEN AND NO FRIGGING JACK And guess what turned up.... YES A QUEEN..
For all of ten seconds I had it My hands on a three hundred buck pot All that I'd built up the previous three hours And one card just fucked up the lot
That is the game we call holdem You can win, you can lose just as quick But the poker gods, yeah well I've told em You can f**K off and go suck my.................

| This would be a WHOLE lot funnier if it hadn't been my ENTIRE day yesterday! Despite the fact that I was down 4 bucks (a feat when your whole BR is 11$ - ) SOMEHOW I managed to pull myself away and STOP the insanity! I must say... I laugh at people when they get upset over losing and scream ONLINE CONSPIRACY, as if this crap never happens in real life... BUT, I am still not to the laughing portion QUITE YET! I am still stuck on the DAYAM I am feelin ur pain man! *sighs heavily* and THAT is why its FRs for me for now.. | |

| I can't believe that I've never seen this one, I can't think what I was doing in late December that I would have missed this! | |

| Next you'll be telling us, you can't believe it's not butter.
Perhaps in late December wifey kept you away with chores preparing for babies first christmas.

| Good thought but it wasn't that. One baby wasn't born and the other was looking forward to 2nd Christmas! I suppose I may have been drinking heavily | |
