Betting Weird Amounts?

I'm sure you guys have seen this before. A player bets 398 chips instead of 400. What is the point of betting weird amounts, and how do you do it on full tilt poker? Is there some kind of strategy involved that I should know about?

You just type the numbers in the box instead of using the slider.
Some folks just do it because they like to be different.
Sometimes it is to confuse.
Sometimes it is just the easiest thing to type 555, 345
Sometimes it is just to save the extra 2 chips.
My favourite is when it leaves the opponent with just one chip.

yeah i used to do it alot.. for some reason it pisses people off really bad. ive had a lot of players go on tilt cause of it.. i might just start it up again lol..it also saves me chips instead of 3x raise i do 2.5x it saves me chips and it gets the same resulst.. bounce
